Waterside Lodge’s facilities are purpose-built to help you deliver a wide variety of fun activities.

We welcome visitors all year round from schools, colleges, youth groups, accessibility groups, Scouts and Guides, and other community groups.

Our centre is licensed by the Adventurous Activity Licensing Authority – AALA, allowing schools to use us without carrying out extensive risk assessments, helping to make your trip stress-free. Our instructors are qualified through National Governing Bodies such as the Royal Yachting Association (RYA) and British Canoeing. Where appropriate they also hold relevant Scout Adventurous Activity permits so sessions can be tailored to allow young people in Scouting to gain various Activity Badges.

We also provide all appropriate equipment such as windproof jackets, wet suits, buoyancy aids, helmets, and more.

Put your phone down and what are you left with? Just teamwork, courage and the skills to succeed.’
